Program Manager

Lorraine Shelnutt began her career with a BS in Chemistry from the University of Missouri.  From there, she sampled many chemistry lab environments, including nuclear chemistry, quality control, and manufacturing.  When she and her husband started a family, she took time at home to raise three little girls, returning to the workforce in 2020 as a high school chemistry teacher specializing in advanced courses.  She spent 3 years in this role at Georgetown High School before joining the STL team alongside her husband, Austin Shelnutt.  Today, Lorraine provides organizational and operational support as program manager at Strategic Thermal Labs, while taking every opportunity to help out in the lab.  When not solving the problems of the world, Lorraine enjoys running, reading, and camping with her family.
